For continuance of deep evaluation, commentary, comprehensive summation of achievements, limitations of practice of Vietnamese literary composition for 30 years of renovation, on May 28th 2015, at meeting hall 3D, No. 1A Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, the Vietnam Institute of Literature under directly the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) organized national scientific conference on “Vietnamese literary composition in the renovation time – situation and prospects”. The 40th anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam and national reunification, on April 27th 2015, in the headquarters at No. 1A Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) organized international conference on 40 years of reunification with the innovation, development and international integration (4/30/1975-4/30/2015). The conference’s chairman was Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of VASS; Prof. Dr. Chaleune Yiapaoheu, President of the Lao Academy of Social Sciences; Academician Khlot Thyda, President of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Duc, Vice President of VASS.

In the framework of the Programme on sciences and technology responding new rural development, on April 2nd 2015, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) organized the scientific conference on “Scientific foundation of farmers’ roles and rural social issues in new rural development.” The conference consists of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of VASS, Chairman of the Project; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Chairman of the Programme; Mr. Tang Minh Loc, Chief of the National Office of Coordination of new rural; scientists from VASS, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Thuyloi University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Tay Nguyen University, Academy of Journalism and communication, ect.

In the framework of The Scientific and Technological Programme for Sustainable Development in Southwest region (referred to the Southwest Programme in brief), on March 27th 2015, at Phu Quoc Island district (Kien Giang), the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), the Steering Committee of Southwest, and People’s Committee of Kien Giang coordinated to organize a Scientific conference on “Sustainable Development in Southwest region: Execution of tasks from an angle of social sciences and humanities.” Chairmen of the Conference were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh, Head of the Steering Committee of Southwest; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of VASS, co-chairman of the Southwest Programme; Mr. Le Van Thi, chairman of Kien Giang People’s Committee. The conference also attracted participation of many scientists, representative leaders from provinces in the Mekong delta region, and representatives from many international organizations, new agencies and press.

On 19th March 2015, Korea Foundation and Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) co – organized “The 2nd Korea – Vietnam Forum for the future” at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, Korea.
