In the morning on March 20th 2015, at the headquarters of Korea Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yun Byung-se, Minister of Korea Foreign Affairs, provided a courtesy Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Mr. Vu Khoan, former Deputy Prime Minister, and Vietnamese participants taking part in the 2nd Korea-Vietnam Forum for the future.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), held a meeting with representatives from diplomatic agencies, international organizations and partners of VASS in the evening 12nd February 2015 at the head office No.1, Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, Vietnam to welcome the traditional lunar New Year (Tet 2015).

On January 01st 2015, at the head office No. 1 Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) – Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang had a meeting with Mr. Kim Chang Il – Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPR Korea) to Vietnam.

On December 9th 2014, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and Lao Academy of Social Sciences (LASS) organized ceremonially a ceremony of handover and receipt of the Library - Documentation Centre and Office Building Complex of Lao Academy of Social Sciences. The ceremony welcomed Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Member of Politburo, Vice Prime Minister, Chairman of subcommittee on Vietnam-Laos cooperation; Mr. Somsavad Lengsavad, Member of Poliburo, Vice Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Chairman of subcommittee on Laos-Vietnam cooperation; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and many leaders of many ministries, committees of Vietnam, Laos, and all staff of LASS.

On December 19th 2014, at the head office No. 1A Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) – Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan received Mr. Beketzhan Zhumakhanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Vietnam.
