Being with the Ambassador were representatives of Chile Pacific Foundation, the Institute of Chilean Freedom and Development Studies, and officials of the Chilean Embassy to Vietnam.

On acceptance of the invitation by the US Social Science Research Council (SSRC), a delegation of senior leaders of Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), led by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of VASS, has paid a working visit to the US from June 24 to June 30, 2012.
