The training course attracted the participation of 26 trainees who are key lecturers and researchers of NAPPA and the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. In this training course, Lao trainees not only acquire knowledge about research methodology, quantitative and qualitative analysis processes and techniques, but also techniques for providing scientific information for policy making. , and experience in writing international scientific articles, but also have the opportunity to participate in practice, apply quantitative and qualitative research methods to topics of interest and research.
NAPPA leaders and students highly appreciated the course results, affirming their desire to continue cooperating with VASS to organize training courses and share research and policy advice in the coming time. Specifically, the participants emphasized the need to: (1) continue to expand the training courses to cover other topics in scientific research methods and policy report development; (2) coordinate in developing research proposals between VASS and NAPPA on issues of mutual concern in order to improve research capacity and research quality of each party. The success of the course has contributed to strengthening the cooperation relationship between VASS and NAPPA in particular and between Vietnamese and Lao scientists in a practical and effective manner.
