President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences received a meeting Mr. Lorenzo Tavazzi, senior partner of European House-Ambrosetti, Italy
In the morning of May 18, 2022, at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Nhat Quang, President of the Academy had a meeting with Mr. Lorenzo Tavazzi, senior member and partner responsible for international development of European House-Ambrosetti, Italy on the occasion of his visit to Hanoi. The reception was honored to welcome Mr. Antonio Alessandro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy in Vietnam and diplomats from the Embassy.
Attending the meeting with Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Nhat Quang has Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Director of the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Chien Thang, Director of the Institute of European Studies; MA. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Head of International Cooperation Department; MA. Le Thanh Tuyen, Secretary to the President of VASS.
The European House-Ambrosetti is a leading Italian management consulting organization. Established in 1965, it is headquartered in Milan and has a a network of foreign offices in Europe and around the world. The European House- Ambrosetti is an independent organization that maintains a neutral standpoint on political issues. It also operates as a think tank developing issues and proposals to support the debate on critical issues affecting the agenda of corporate leaders in Italy and in Europe.
Open the first session, on behalf of VASS leadership, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Nhat Quang warmly welcomes the delegation to visit and work at VASS.
As the largest humanities and social science research institute in Vietnam, President Bui Nhat Quang hoped that on the occasion of Mr. Lorenzo Tavazzi's special visit to Hanoi, it would create a good opportunity for the two sides to continue to developing scientific cooperation relationship, academic interface, scholar exchange between the two sides is even stronger.
In response to VASS's President, Mr. Lorenzo Tavazzi expressed his sincere thanks for the VASS’s warm welcome as the leading research institute in Vietnam. On the occasion of Hanoi, He also focused on introducing the sixth edition of the High-Level Dialogue on Relations The ASEAN-Italy economy will be held in Kuala Lumpur on July 5 and 6. The content of the 6th ASEAN-Italy High-Level Dialogue on Economic Relations focuses on a number of issues as follows:
1/ Macroeconomic outlook of ASEAN in the post- pandemic scenario
2/ Green technologies for a sustainable future
3/ e-Economy, smart technologies and 4.0 value chains
4/ Aerospace and Security for resillience
5/ Investment opportunities and coopeartion tools between Italy and ASEAN countries.
At the meeting, VASS delegates discussed with Mr. Lorenzo Tavazzi about initiatives on the prospects of Italy-ASEAN economic relations. Representative of the European House-Ambrosetti organization, Mr. Lorenzo Tavazzi expressed his enthusiasm, willingness to listen and share the orientation of academic exchange and research of the leaders of the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies and the Institute of Asian Studies, that contributes to strongly promoting academic exchanges and scholarly exchanges between VASS and the European House-Ambrosetti organization as well as consolidating the good diplomatic relations between Italy-Vietnam and the ASEAN region in the coming time.
