Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Nhat Quang warmly welcomed all delegates and guests to the ceremony and thanked the Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam for actively coordinating with the Museum to successfully carry out the exhibition and sharing 72 photos taken by three Mexican and three Vietnamese photographers on display. The exhibition helps visitors to study more about the cultures of Vietnam and Mexico through similarities and differences. All photos taken reflect the cultural features, daily life but contain the unique cultural characteristics of both Vietnam and Mexico. That has created the cultural intersections imbued with the Vietnamese - Mexican cultural identity through the photographers lens of the places they visit.
Mrs. Sara Valdés - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Union of Mexico in Vietnam made a speech at the inauguration ceremony
In response to the Vice President of VASS, Mrs. Sara Valdés said: Struggle for Mexican Independence started 209 years ago, on September 16, 1810. The exhibition opening in September is to celebrate this event, which is the most important day for the people of Mexico. September is also the month to celebrate the National Day of Vietnam, so the event is more meaningful to honour the friendship and understanding among the countries and its peoples.

At the exhibition, photos of photographers from both Vietnam and Mexico, including Sergio Camalich, Eunice Chao, Juan Carlos Duran, Hoang Hai Thinh, Luu Viet Hung and Nguyen Viet Thanh captured the most memorable moments of people, heritage, old and new landscapes. The exhibition is the result for an intended and perhaps unintended meeting of organizers to reflect the intersection of daily life in both countries, illustrating the shared commonalities of two societies thousands of kilometres away.
