In the morning of September 30th 2015, Institute of Regional Sustainable Development (IRSD), a member unit of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), organized the seminar to release the research result on gambling industry in Vietnam at the Head Office of VASS (Badinh, Hanoi). This is the most completed research project about Vietnam’s gambling industry ever and sponsored by American Chamber of Commerce Vietnam. The project has been carried out for 6 months, since April 2015, with the collaboration of IRSD, experts and researchers from local leading institutes.

In September 29th 2015, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), Vietnamese National Commission for UNESCO, and UNESCO Hanoi Office have worked together for an international workshop entitled “Gender Dimensions of Social Exclusion: Towards more inclusive policies for women” at the Head Office of VASS (Ba Dinh, Hanoi).

In the afternoon of September 24th 2015, Institutes of European Studies of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and Foreign Trade University have worked with partners from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan to organize the international scientific workshop entitled “Renew the collaboration model on sciences and technology of Vietnam with SNG countries in the integration: Opportunities, challenges and prospects at the Head Office of VASS. The workshop is a part of the scientific research work belonged to the key program KX06.09/11-15 at State level on “Research on renewing and completing the scientific and technological collaboration between Vietnam and traditional partners in the international integration: collaboration with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan”.

The international conference on “East Asia: Scripts and Culture" (東亞文字與文化) is held by Vietnam Institute of Sino - Nom Studies (a member unit of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) as the organizer, The World Association of Chinese Characters Studies (世界漢字學會) and Center for the Study of Chinese Characters in Korea (韓國漢字研究所) as co-organizers. There is the participation of 46 local and oversea scientists from Vietnam (12), Japan (6), Korea (11), and Hongkong - Taiwan – Mainland China (17). The conference on August 15th has had a great attraction with both local and foreign researchers. This is the 3rd conference for the community of researchers on scripts in East Asia and it is the opportunity to fully expand the scientific collaboration in East Asia and world scripts studies. It is the first time for Vietnam to organize this conference after China and Japan. The conference is expected to be a chance to promote the peaceful, friendly relationship and the collaboration in area.
