On July 27th 2015, in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences coordinated with Lam Dong to organize the 4th VASS-RAC-LASS annual conference “Trans-boundary economic cooperation among Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos”. This international conference is held annually rotating among the three academies of social sciences of the three countries of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

On the afternoon of July 28th 2015, at the Meeting hall 3A, in the headquarters at No.1B, Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, Institute of Regional Sustainable Development (IRSD) under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) coordinated with Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) and Vietnam E-commerce association (VECOM) to organize the scientific workshop with subject of "Impact of Internet and electronic commerce on activities of small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam".

On July 28, 2015, in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) coordinated with Korea Environment Institute, Lao Academy of Social Sciences (LASS), Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) and Lam Dong province to organize the international conference on "Promoting rural development in the Mekong sub-region based on high-tech agriculture and sustainable tourism". This is the fourth time the Korea Environment Institute and the three academies of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia held conference with the subject related to green growth and sustainable development.

In the framework of the scientific plan 2015, on July 7th 2015, in Da Nang city , Institute of Human Studies held a workshop on: "Development of Vietnamese people in the context of globalization and international integration: achievements, challenges and solutions".

On May 27th 2015, at meeting hall 3D, No. 1A Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran co-organized joint workshop “The role of Persian literature and Saadi in expanding cultural diplomacy between Vietnam and Iran” with participation of international representatives: H.E. Mr. Hossein Alvandi Behineh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Vietnam; Dr. Rezamorad Sahraei, Deputy Head of Allameh Tabataba'I University; Ambassadors of Brunei, Qatar, Palestine, Venezuela, Sudan, Algeria, Pakistan; Charge d’affaires ad interim, Deputy Chiefs of Mission, Commissioners of Iraq, Oman, Kazakhstan; and diplomats of foreign embassies in Hanoi. For VASS, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Duc, Vice President of VASS; Leadership representatives from institutions under directly VASS; experts and researchers from specific institutes, as well as people who concern Iran, Iranian literature and cooperative relation between Vietnam Iran.
