On December 10, 2013, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) held the conference “Fossil fuel fiscal reform and Green growth” in cooperation with UN Agency for Development in Vietnam, the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) (Ministry of Planning and Investment).

International conference “Role of cultural heritages in peace education and peace development” (09/12/2013)

The International conference titled “Role of cultural heritages in peace education and peace development” took place from 25 to 27 November 2013 in Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai Province). This is one of the activities within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and Dong Nai People’s Committee. In addition, the conference was also held in cooperation with the Asian Resource Foundation (ARF).

In Hanoi, the conference “Depiction of Vietnam’s farmers in the industrialization, modernization and integration period” was held by the Institute of Sociology (Vienam’s Academy of Social Sciences) in cooperation with the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) on 5 December 2013.

To mark 40 years of the Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relationship, the Institute for Northeast Asian Studies, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), in collaboration with the International Research Center for Japanese Studies (Nichibunken), held the two-day international conference on “Historical, cultural and social issues through the Vietnam-Japan exchanges” on 13-14 November 2013 in Hanoi.
