Attending the workshop, on the senior leader side were Kikeo Khaykhamphithun, Secretary of Laos PDR Central Committee, Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Training, President of Laos Social Science Council, Mr.Somsavad Lengxavat, Prime Minister of Laos People's Democratic Republic; Prof.Dr.Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Assoc. Thongsalit Mangnomeck, Member of the Executive Committee of the Lao PDR Central Committee, Director of Laos National Academy of Politics and Administration, Prof.Dr. Soukkongseng Saignaleuth, Member of the Executive Committee of the Lao PDR Central Committee, President of Lao National Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr.Nguyen Quang Thuan, President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the leaders, scientists from 4 academy and social scientists of Vietnam and Laos. Attending the workshop were Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in Lao. The press agencies of Laos and the press office of the Embassy of Vietnam in Laos came to cover the workshop. The delegation of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences also has Assoc. Dang Nguyen Anh, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department, Vice President of the Academy and some leaders of academy are also the authors of speeches at the workshop.
In the opening speech, Mr. Kikeo Khaykhamphithun, Secretary of the Lao PDR Central Committee, Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Training, Chairman of the Lao Social Science Council, affirmed the important role of President of the Democratic People's Republic and President Ho Chi Minh for the revolution of the two countries: Laos - Vietnam in building the foundation of revolutionary theory for two parties and two countries to bring the revolutionary movement from this victory to other victories; Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology have developed the special friendship and special clarity of the two Parties and two nations. Mr. Kikeo also affirmed Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology as an invaluable asset of the Party and Government of Laos and Vietnam in the past as well as in today's context. Successful implementation of Resolution of the 10th Party Congress of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and Resolution of the 12th Congress of Viet Nam Communist Party.

On behalf of the co-organizers of the workshop, Assoc. Thongsalit Mangnomeck, Member of Lao PDR Central Committee, Director of t Laos National Academy of Politics and Administration and Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, director of Ho Chi Minh National
Political Academy, delivered speeches leading up to the workshop. In his speech, the two comrades emphasized the value and role of Ho Chi Minh's ideology with Vietnam’s revolution and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology with Laos revolution, appreciated the enthusiasm of the scientists reflected in the 39 reports submitted to the workshop; Pointing out the issues that need to be discussed in the workshop: a) Along with asserting Marxism-Leninism, continue to interpret, clarify and affirm Ho Chi Minh's ideology and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản's ideology are the foundation and guideline for the Party and the revolution of Vietnam and Laos; b)continue to comprehensively and comprehensively assess the stature, significant role of Ho Chi Minh's ideology with Viet Nam’s revolution and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản's ideology with Laos revolution in the innovation and development period of two countries; c) Inheriting, using and developing scientific arguments to continue preserving and promoting the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation that President Ho Chi Minh and President Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản has built and develop in the new context and in accordance with specific socio-economic condition of the two countries: Vietnam-Laos.
In the opening speech, Prof.Dr. Soukkongseng Saignaleuth, member of the Executive Board of Lao PDR Central Committee, President of Laos National Institute of Social Sciences affirmed the significance of the conference on Ho Chi Minh’s ideology with Vietnam’s Revolution and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản‘s ideology with Laos’ revolution in the development of special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Laos - Vietnam as well as in the implementation of scientific cooperation program from 2016 to 2020 among the four academy (Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Laos National Academy of Politics and Administration, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and Laos National Institute of Social Sciences) were signed in October 2016. Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, has affirmed the important role of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology in leading the two countries' revolution to achieve this victory to other victories. At the same time, we affirm the vitality and beauty of the friendship between the two countries in history. On behalf of Viet Nam Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan has affirmed that it will prioritize resources and coordinate with academy and scientists of the two countries to enhance theoretical research and practical Ho Chi Minh's ideology and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology with the revolution of two countries.

After the opening session, the conference heard 12 presenters present their speeches in two sessions: Ho Chi Minh’s ideology with Vietnam’s revolution and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology with Laos’ revolution and the similarities between Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology. The workshop devoted a large amount of time to participants to speak and participate in discussions. The delegates continued to affirm the value of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology not only the two nations’ revolutionary movement at various times in the past but also in the value of forecasting, timing the two countries’ revolutionary movement in the current context. Participants also expressed their wishes that the two countries 'scientific bodies continue to study the core issues of the two presidents' thoughts in order to better appreciate the values of the two nations. Continuing to maintain and promote the special friendship of the two Parties, States and people of the two countries.
In the closing session, on behalf of the 4 co-chairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thongsalit Mangnomeck, Member of the Central Party Committee, Director of Lao National Academy of Politics and Administration and Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Central Committee, Director of the National Academies of Ho Chi Minh City summarized the success of the workshop. The comrades appreciated the spirit of working hard, the enthusiasm of the delegates from 4 co-organizers and delegates from the research institues, universities, ministries and the locality of Laos. We suggested academy and scientists of the two countries continue to study Ho Chi Minh's ideology and Cay-xỏn-phôm-vi-hản’s ideology in order to preserve and promote the special friendship that two beloved Presidents have created and developed.
With all the results achieved, the workshop has succeed, contributing to strengthening and enhancing the friendship of the co-organizers in particular and the two countries in general as well as contributing actively to the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (September 5th-1962 / September 5th-2017) and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation (July 18th-1977 / July 18th -2017).
