On behalf of VASS leaders, speaking at the opening of the seminar, Dr. Dang Xuan Thanh warmly welcomed the delegation of the Embassy to visit and work at the VASS. The Vice President especially emphasized the importance of scientific exchanges between the two sides today on the occasion of the 110th birthday of Mr Kim Nhat Thanh and the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh visited to North Korea. On the basis of the beautiful diplomatic relationship between the two countries, the Vice President expressed his deep belief that the Embassy of the People's Republic of North Korea in Vietnam would be academic exchange, theory and practice between scientists of the two countries. Speaking at the Seminar, Mr. Ri Ho Jun, Interim Chargé d'Affaires of the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea in Vietnam appreciated the friendly relationship between Vietnam and North Korea, which was endorsed by the leaders of the two countries, Mr Kim Il-sung and President Ho Chi Minh. Following the visit of comrade Kim Jong Un to Vietnam in 2019, Mr. Ri Ho Jun expressed that the organization of a scientific seminar between the Embassy of North Korea in Vietnam and VASS would continue and hope that receiving support and cooperation from VASS, contributing to the further development of social science activities.
At the Seminar, the delegates watched a documentary about the great leader of the North Korean –Mr Kim Nhat Thanh; the image of North Korea. The documentary has also sent a message of peace to the country of North Korea.
Interim Chargé d'Affaires- Mr. Ri Ho Jun presented the great merits of Mr Kim Nhat Thanh, the great leader who founded the Workers' Party of North Korea and his experiences in building the North Korean Workers' Party. Prominent with the ideology of building the Party from self-reliance and for the people, built with trust and love for the people, based on the ideals of "taking the people as heaven" and "giving oneself for the people" .
