At present, the urbanization is occurring quite eventfully in all corners of the country. In Vinh Phuc, rural urbanization has exerted profound impact on all fields of the farmer’s life. However, the urbanization makes Vinh Phuc face many great challenges: population, job, industrial waste, environmental pollution, cultural, ethic and lifestyle changes which change the people’s life in the face of hurried life pace of the market economy.
To clarify the ongoing urbanization and its impact on the life of Vinh Phuc people as well as indicating changes in the “face” of Vinh Phuc province, the Institute of Anthropology, the Department of Science and Technology of Vinh Phuc coordinated with the Social Science Publishing House to publish the book entitled Impact by the urbanization and industrialization on the economic development and cultural - social change in Vinh Phuc. This is a scientific work jointly done by the above units and two famous researchers in the field of anthropology, naley Nguyen Ngoc Thanh and Nguyen The Truong as chief editors.
With 5-chapter structure, the book depicts the panorama of all changes that have occurred and are going on in Vinh Phuc associated with the Renovation, especially in the field of culture and society. On that basis, such information as the Impact by urbanization and industrialization on the population, labor and job, economic structure shift, social institution have been presented systematically and concretely based on sharp scientific theory with specific statistics. Apart from clearly analyzing the change in all fields of the people’s life under the impact of the urbanization, the work proposes solutions and directions of practical development for each specific field in order to ensure the social stability as well as creating the most favorable conditions for encouraging the people to do business to enhance their material and spiritual life.
