ASEAN was founded on 8 August 1967 with the determination of targets for economic, cultural development, cooperation to promote social progress for peace and stability in the region. For over the past 40 years, although the world as well as the ASEAN countries must face a lot of unpredictable changes, the existence, maintenance and expansion of the Association with the formation and promotion of its own character showed the success of this incomparable regional cooperation organization. From the initializations, up to now ASEAN has developed strongly with the participation of 10 countries in the region. More importantly, the Association has had drastic changes in nature with the effective cooperation in various fields. Not only increase the depth links within the block, ASEAN block is also the subject to initialize a lot of initiatives and expand the cooperation in the region: ASEAN +3, EAS, ARF... Owning to that, the position of ASEAN is more and more appreciated in the region and internationally.
In addition to the preamble, conclusion, the book content is presented in 3 chapters. Chapter I: Evaluation on the formation and construction of ASEAN Community. This chapter mentions to the development of ASEAN - necessary premise of ASEAN Community (AC): ASEAN is a large regional cooperation organization in politics, economy, culture with the construction of principles, cooperation mechanisms inside and outside the region, ASEAN has established a network of international cooperation for external partners; Built ASEAN Community, deepened the regional integration and enhance the position of Southeast Asia.
