Northeast Asia is known to be an emerging region as far as economic power is concerned. It exerts significant influence on global economic growth. Ever since the onset of the millennium, this region’s economy has exhibited an uniqueness that has garnered the attention of many researchers. One issue in particular is how, in the future, countries in the region will form economic bonds. It can be observed that Japan, South Korea, and China, the three prominent constituents of Northeast Asia, have plans to strengthen their economic cooperation in both depth and geographical scope.

It is popular belief that while these countries have had their political differences in recent times, it is precisely these differences that will act as a catalyst for economic cooperation among Northeast Asian countries in the years to come.

And so the world shall witness more economic cooperation within geographical regions. Over the past 10 years, China has taken leaps of progress to become an economic power dominant enough to pose a threat to Japan, and even the United States. Based on this fact, many believe that at this rate, by 2020 or, more conservatively, 2030, China will likely have become a country with vast economic influence, both in Asia and globally.

It is important then to determine the milestones of economic development in Northeast Asia over the past10 years, and to forecast economic trends that will prevail in the region throughout the next 10 years.

The book “Northeast Asia – significant economic issues (2011 – 2020)” was published in hopes that it will prove to be a valuable source of reference to researchers, policy makers, and students alike. It consists of the following contents:

Part 1: Northeast Asia’s economy during the first 10 years of the 21st century as it stood against the global economy; The process of economic bonding in Northeast Asia; vying for being at the helm of building the model for the future ASEAN Community…

Part 2: Forecasts a number of significant economic issues in Northeast Asia from 2011 to 2020, provides information on economic development; determines growth model; economic bonding within Northeast Asia…

Part 3: A number of solutions for Vietnam to enhance cooperation with Northeast Asian countries during the 2011 – 2020 period; An assessment of these solutions and selecting the most suitable one.

Hopefully you will find the book to be worth your while.
