As Vietnam marched forth along its journey toward socialism, every class of society, including researchers and disciples of the social sciences, took part in reforms under the guidance of the Party. Playing their part, social scientists did what they could to help the Party formulate general policies as well as solve specific issues in various aspects of society. They also provided forecasts on a scientific basis to promote the growth of the country. Alternatively put, social scientists have abided by the directives of the Party and have made invaluable contributions that shall remain in the annals of history.
