The Graduate Academy of Social Sciences (GASS) is a graduate training institution under VASS that offers master’s and doctoral programs as well as other advanced training programs in the social sciences and humanities. Currently, GASS offers 36 master's programs and 37 doctoral programs. Besides providing courses in key disciplines such as history, archeology, sociology, religion, anthropology, and Han Nom studies, GASS also trains students in new fields such as human rights, social work, public policy and business administration. In carrying out these training activities, GASS lecturers have successfully drawn on and used the results of their research projects in their teaching, which significantly contributes to raising teaching quality. Importantly, GASS always gives top priority to perfecting its training quality in order to become a training center which meets regional and international standards.
