The excavations of the Oc Eo - Ba The, Nen Chua (Southern Oc Eo culture) have taken place since August 2017 until now, the results of excavations at the Oc Eo - Ba The, Nen Chua relic have been carried out just announced shows the magnitude of this legacy.

With the consent of the Leaders of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (Academy), on the afternoon of July 1, 2021, at the headquarters at No. 1 Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, the Institute of World Economics and Politics under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences held a scientific conference with the theme "Competition great powers in the Greater Mekong Sub-region" to identify the causes, nature, content and methods of the compete with countries in the Greater Mekong sub-region, thereby forecasting possible scenarios, providing implications for Vietnam in policy making with relevant countries. The conference is held in face-to-face and online format.
