The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) is known as a German NGO, founded in 1958, operating in Germany in more than 60 countries with the mission of contributing to the building of institutions that support freedom, human rights and market economy.
In Vietnam, the representative office of FNF was established in 2012. Based on cooperation projects, FNF organizes dialogues and seminars to promote academic exchanges between Vietnam and Germany on many topics, topics such as education, training, market economy and international integration.
Through the exchange before the signing, the two sides together clarified many related contents, especially highlighting the strengths and interests that the two sides will focus on in the period of 2021 -2024. Regarding related scientific activities, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Chien Thang said: Currently, the European Research Institute has been and continues to implement the project "Improving the effectiveness of implementing social responsibility in enterprises and agricultural cooperatives in Son La province in the context of implementation of the EVFTA”.
The objective of the project is to evaluate and analyze the current situation of implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in enterprises and agricultural cooperatives in Son La province. The project has completed the analysis framework of social responsibility for enterprises/cooperatives, surveyed the implementation of social responsibility in 04 districts: Quynh Nhai, Thuan Chau, Mai Son and Moc Chau, conferences and publications…
Director of the Friedrich Naumann Institute (FNF) in Vietnam, Mr. Andreas Stoffe was pleased to say that FNF attaches special importance to the relationship related to scientific development and education with Vietnam. The results achieved by the Institute of European Studies have shown that Vietnam's initiative in academic issues is increasingly valued and paid attention. This is a very good premise not only to help the Institute for European Studies increasingly assert its position with international friends, but also to help the cooperation relationship be developed between FNF and the Institute of European Studies is growing to new heights.
Accordingly, this Memorandum of Understanding will be implemented in the period 2021-2024, focusing on 6 main activities, including: (i) Promoting the implementation of Social Responsibility for agricultural enterprises/cooperatives in the provinces Son La, Binh Duong, Dak Lak; (ii) Research and build a short supply chain model for agricultural products in Phu Yen, Quang Nam; (iii). Promoting the export of key agricultural products to the EU market in the context of EVFTA implementation: Dak Lak, Son La, Phu Yen; (iv) Organizing seminars in localities; (v) Developing assessment toolkits, roundtable discussions, providing scientific arguments and policy proposals to the provinces; (vi) Coordinate publication of publications, results, projects. The practical activities of the Memorandum of Understanding will contribute to deepening the relationship between the Institute of European Studies and the FNF in particular, between the FNF and the Academy in general, as well as contribute to affirming the strategic partnership between the Institute of European Studies and the FNF.
