From September 17th to 20th, 2018, Prof.Dr. Pham Van Duc, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences participated in the 11th China- ASEAN Think Tank Strategic Dialogue Forum, and worked with Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences, China.

On the afternoon of September 17th, 2018, Prof.Dr. Pham Van Duc, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences participated in the 11th China- ASEAN Think Tank Strategic Dialogue Forum, and worked with Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences, China. Along with the Vice-President, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Director of Institute for Southeast Asian Studies; Dr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Director of Institute of Chinese Studies.

On September 18th, attending the 11th China- ASEAN Think Tank Strategic Dialogue Forum, at the opening session: Pham Van Duc, Vice President of the Academy made welcome speech and presentation. Looking back at the cooperation process, especially since the establishment of strategic partnership between ASEAN and China in the past of 15 years, he affirmed the gained achievements and raised a number of issues such as strengthening strategic confidence building, bring more substantive cooperation in ASEAN-China relations in the near future.

At the session, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong discussed about China-Vietnam relations in the framework of ASEAN-China strategic cooperation. The discussion highlighted the achievements, issues and prospects for Vietnam-China relations in the new context.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huy Hoang looked back at the 15 years of ASEAN-China strategic partnership and emphasized on deepening cooperation, well-managed disagreements, and prospects for cooperation.

On September 19th, Prof.Dr. Pham Van Duc, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences visited the Institute for Marxist Studies under Guangxi University in China.

On September 20th, the delegation ended their trip and worked in China and then returned to Vietnam.
