To welcome the group at Ban Nua’s Culture Center are Tribal chief Vi Van Giao and officials of commune and local people. After the general introduction, Dr. Tran Hong Hanh, representative for scientific professionals of the Program sincerely thanked for the warm welcome of localgovernment and people in Ban Nua and expressed the expectation that 5 groups of VASS will be able to cooperate very well with 5 local groups to accomplish the given objectives of countryside trip.
In this Program, all students must make the most use of contents trained in Training course before. Accordingly, besides studying anthropological / ethnographic to collect specialized materials, students also showed their abilities to adopt with culture and flexibly use soft skills to complete given objectives. After the trip, to submit Countryside Diary and research suggestions are mandatory requirements for each student.

The first and very obvious point of the trip is to study anthropological / ethnographic become extremely new, attractive, and challenging for young researchers, especially those only study the materials but do not experience any countryside trip before. With these students, ethnographical countryside and anthropological approach is a very interesting trip. To become a part of thinking and living of local people in order to understand, study, and find out new ideas for researching is an amazing “adventure”. With glasses of wine and bows of green tea,the stories of students are not only about questioning and answering, but also became a series of stories about life, thoughts, feelings, and each share of Thai’s people in Ban Nua to every young researchers of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
