Nguyen Thanh Ha, Head of the International Cooperation Department; MSc. Le Thanh Tuyen, Specialist of the International Cooperation Department.
In attendance were Ambassador Bezdetko Gennady, Counselor Fokin Stanislav and Second Secretary Nilov Roman.
Opening the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Dr. Phan Chi Hieu warmly welcomed the delegation to visit and work at VASS. At the same time, the Chairman expressed his appreciation for the good diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia in recent years; Briefly introduce the structure, functions and main research tasks of VASS as well as the Institute of European Studies. In addition, the President wished to further strengthen the links and academic exchanges between Russian research institutes and training institutions.
In response to the VASS President, Mr. Bezdetko Gennady would like to thank the VASS for the warm welcome as well as the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in the past time and look forward to implementing more scientific cooperation learn more in the future.
Discussing the cooperation plan in 2023, Mr. Bezdetko Gennady and President Phan Chi Hieu exchanged scientific activities as follows:
Firstly, the staff of the Institute of European Studies will submit papers and present at seminars within the framework of the event "Vietnam Week" organized by the Russian Center for International Scientific and Technical Cooperation (RD ISTC) and Vietnam and ASEAN Studies Center of the Institute of Contemporary China and Asia organized with the theme "Vietnam - Gateway to Asia".
Secondly, in cooperation with the Institute of Demographics, the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation publishes valuable publications, organizes international seminars, exchanges researchers, experts... for the period 2023-2025 . Besides, it is expected to discuss and develop joint research with the topic: The third generation of Vietnamese in the Russian Federation over the past time: Current status and prospects to participate in the Fund's research funding bidding Basic Science of the Russian Federation.
Third, coordinate with the Institute of Economics and the Russian Academy of Sciences in joint studies and discuss promising areas of cooperation under the agreement signed by the two institutes in 2019. Accordingly, the two sides will organize joint scientific events and publish publications on topics of mutual interest. The two Institutes will continue to sign MOUs for cooperation in the 2023-2025 period on project development, publishing valuable publications, organizing international seminars, exchanging research, experts...
Fourthly, continue to maintain and coordinate with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Friendship University of Russian Peoples (RUDN) in scientific research, organizing conferences, scientific talks and exporting general version.
The meeting took place successfully, on the basis of information exchanged from VASS and the delegation, the two sides will develop a plan for research cooperation, academic exchange and specific training, contribute to strongly promoting the friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the coming time.
