On 28 March 2013, at the headquarters of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), 1 Lieu Giai Street, Hanoi, the President of VASS, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, met with Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam.
The Ambassador was accompanied with Prof. Tsuboi, senior advisor of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and a number of officials from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam.
VASS attendants to the meeting along with President Nguyen Xuan Thang included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Giang Hai, Director-General of International Cooperation Department; Mrs. Luu Anh Tuyet (MA.) Deputy Director-General of Interantional Cooperation Department; and Dr. Dang Xuan Thanh, Deputy Director-General of Institute for Northeast Asia Studies.
The President of VASS and the Ambassador discussed and shared several views of mutual concern over regional security and politics of the Pacific Asia, and expected to co-organize several activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of bilateral relation between Vietnam and Japan.
