International Cooperation Department works with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

Established on the working foundation with Harvard since 1999, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy has become one of the most developed schools of public policy in the world. School has total 400 students from 53 countries joining in four courses of master degree and one course of doctor degree up to date. For now, there are 10 Vietnamese students from various industries and companies studying at this school.

At the meeting, Associate Prof. Dr. Zeger Van Der Wal of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy introduced about the postgraduate scholarship opportunities for Vietnamese applicants including 3 courses as: (1) Master of Public Management- MPM (1 year) for management position; (2) Master of Public Administration - MPA (1 year) which help managers at medium level to train their analysis ability so that they can improve their working efficiency; (3) Master of Public Policy - MPP (2 years) which provides students a firm foundation about knowledge as well as analysis tools in the field of management, policy and economy.

MA. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department has appreciated useful information about postgraduate courses of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. She also distributed a high evaluation about Associate Prof. Dr Zeger Van Der Wal’s sharing.  This information has created more study opportunities for young researchers of VASS, especially at this period when International Cooperation Department is promoting about training and scholar opportunities as the ways of encourage young applicants to join in training courses oversea.

According to cooperation schedule, in next period, Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy will have meeting with Institute of Social Sciences which is a member unit of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in order to develop the public policy faculty in Vietnam.
