To participate in the meeting with the President, there were Directors of International Cooperation Department, Scientific Management Department and Institute for Northeast Asian Studies.
In the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang introduced to Mr. Jun Dae Joo the functions, tasks of VASS; research fields and orientation that the Academy is focusing on; and the cooperation between VASS and Korean partners such as the Northeast Asian History Foundation, Global Green Growth Institute, Korea Environment Corporation... The President declared that the lessons of Korea on reforming state-owned business, building the new rural area are valuable and should be learnt carefully by Vietnamese. Besides that, the President also proposed Mr. Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to hold more specialized talks, seminars, and conferences… on the shared problems that two sides are caring about.
To reply the proposal from the President of VASS, Mr. Jun Dae Joo not only showed his happiness to visit and work at the Academy but also proved his beliefs in the cooperation between VASS and Korean partners will contribute to the peace and stability of region and significantly to improve the cooperative relationship between two countries.
