The concept of "Green growth" has been identified by many organizations all around the world and nowadays, many economies are pursuing it. In Vietnam, the Green growth program has received more attention since the last decade. After 08 years of implementation, the most recent “Draft National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050” is being discussed and submitted. This Strategy sets out general goals as well as specific goals for each aspect of Green growth, such as: Reducing the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions; Greening economic sectors; Greening lifestyles and promoting sustainable consumption; Equality, inclusion and resilience in the green transition process. In particular, the Strategy shows its first focus on the aspects of human development, that is the equality in accessing opportunities and enjoying the fruits of growth, etc., to ensure the realization of "dual goals": both ensuring green growth, promoting inclusive growth and building humanity society with Vietnamese characteristics, no one is left behind.
Green growth, therefore, in any context, is closely associated with sustainable growth, bringing harmony between economic development and social development with cultural development, human development, and environmental protection. Institute of Human Studies (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) with a development perspective of "no one is left behind", together with a domestic partner - Green Innovation Development Centre (Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations) and other international partners will jointly organize an international conference named: "Green growth for human development goals".
