Following the success of the first Annual Conference on Human Studies in 2023, the Institute of Human Studies (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) organized the 2nd annual conference with the theme "Improving the Quality of Life for Human Development". This is also an activity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Human Studies (1999-2024).

Quality of life has been a topic of interest to researchers and the public for decades. Quality of life is a measure of a nation's overall strength. It not only shows socio-economic development and a healthy living environment but also reflects the success of social policies of the country. The 2nd Annual Conference of the Institute for Human Studies is a forum for researchers to share knowledge, information, research and management experiences on quality of life and human development. This is also an opportunity for scientists, managers and educators build relationships and create connections to open up opportunities for academic exchange in the future.

In particular, the workshop was also honored to receive funding from the Vingroup Innovation Fund (VinIF) of the Big Data Research Institute (VinBigData) established by Vingroup in 2018. VinIF aims to support seminars, scientists and young talents from research institutes to carry out scientific, technological and innovative research in the fields of science, technology, engineering, medicine and pharmacy, economics and education to create positive and sustainable changes for Vietnam.
