On March 27th, 2018, on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Morocco (March 27th, 1961 - March 27th, 2018), at No.1 Lieu Giai , Ba Dinh, Hanoi, Institute of African Studies and Middle East (IAMES) under Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Vietnam co-organized the National workshop: "Cultural diversity in national unity: sharing experiences between Vietnam and Morocco".

Within the framework of the project activity, to analyze and share lessons learned on the policy system, social welfare and care practices for the elderly at the family and community level. Managers, practitioners of the elderly in the social, economic and cultural spheres of Japan, the United Kingdom and Vietnam, as well as the results of comparative research on human care. During the two days from May 2 to May 3, 1818, the Institute of Family and Gender Studies of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (Academy) organized an international workshop with the theme "Enhancing Social Participation in Elderly Care: A Policy Dialogue & Exchange of Practical Experience Between Local Communities They are in Vietnam, Japan and the United Kingdom”.

Within the framework of the cooperative activities between the Academy of Social Sciences of Vietnam (VASS) and the World Bank, on the morning of April 5th, 2018, at Lieu Giai Headquarters, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, the Academy in cooperation with the World Bank organized a scientific seminar to share the results of the study "The New Step - Poverty Reduction and Shared Prosperity in Vietnam".

On the afternoon of December 13, 2017, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) in collaboration with World Bank in Vietnam (WB) organized a scientific seminar "Riding Big Wave: East Asian Miracle in 21st Century” at the 1st headquarters of Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.

December 12, 2017, at the headquarters of Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), No. 1 Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, Vice President of the Academy - Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Nguyen Anh met Ms. Jane Bocklage, US Counsellor in ASEAN came and worked at Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences.
