No one is left behind in the epidemic, no one is left out in accessing vaccines

In the context of COVID-19 continues to be complicated and unpredictable situation, new strains such as Delta or others can be spreaded globally, the number of infected people is increasing. The rapid increase in mortality, the limited supply of vaccines around the world, and the lack of specific treatment drugs are huge challenges to the task of disease control, seriously threatening the health and lives of people. people, greatly affecting the activities of agencies, organizations and businesses and having a very negative impact on the country's socio-economic development, requiring timely response solutions, at the same time. Ministries, appropriate, the National Assembly requests the Government, the Prime Minister, all levels, branches and localities to actively follow the actual situation, continue to strengthen strong, drastic and effective solutions. Moreover, to both control the COVID-19 epidemic well and promote socio-economic development, strive to successfully implement Resolution No. 124/2020/QH14 of the National Assembly on the plan socio-economic development in 2021.

With a foresight and a fundamental solution to bring the country out of the epidemic, the Party and State were determined to implement a strategic vaccine. Strategic vaccines focus on the main contents including: import, technology transfer, research for active domestic production and development of vaccines and free vaccines for the people. To do this thing, in time through, the Party, State and Government focused on synthesizing many measures: strengthening debate, diplomacy, mobilizing finance to buy, import, research and produce vaccines. .

With the efforts of the leaders of the Party and State, the General Secretary, the State President, the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, agencies and sectors in the implementation of diplomacy, especially fast and large import of vaccnie possible; pledges, libraries, and contracts to supply more than 100 million doses in 2021. According to the Ministry of Health's data, about 4 million have been vaccinated. In fact, in the past time, using vaccines have been received the consent and sharing of the people. The first doses of vaccines returned to Vietnam were administered to the anti-epidemic force. Vaccines are supplemented on the principle of equality, publicity, transparency and effectiveness. The goal of strategic vaccines is to inject free of charge every year to the people to reach community free across the country. To achieve that goal, we must be able to get enough vaccines for the people from imported sources and self-produced domestically. Everyone is equal and fair in access to vaccines.

This vaccination campaign has many new points compared to previous vaccination campaigns. Accordingly, by establishing a vaccine storage and transportation system under the management of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Defense, the vaccine is guaranteed to be of the fastest quality and transported from the central warehouses in the Military Regions to the main injection points. Establishing a quality monitoring system through monitoring the entire process of preservation and fastest transportation from central warehouses in Military Regions to injection points. Establish a quality monitoring system through monitoring the entire process of storage, transportation of the injection organization and online management of the entire vaccination process.

At the launching ceremony, Minister Nguyen Thanh Long affirmed that the Ministry of Health and other ministries are determined to make efforts to effectively and successfully implement the vaccination campaign with the motto "inject where it is safe". "do not waste any vaccine dose" and "do not waste any money from Vietnam's COVID-19 vaccine fund".

Initial results in the nationwide vaccination campaign

Decision No. 3355/QD-BYT of the Minister of Health on promulgating the plan to implement the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in 2021-2022, which is considered the largest vaccination campaign in the history of our country. In Vietnam, the Ministry of Health has made efforts to access COVID-19 vaccine supplies through various channels. To date, about 105 million doses from different sources have been committed to distribute to Vietnam. Using the COVID-19 vaccine for at-risk groups and the community is emphasized as an active prevention and control measure. Vietnam strives to set a target that by the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022, which can achieve herd immunity, it is estimated that about 70% of Vietnam's population must be vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine.

6 implementation principles are set out, in which, the campaign is deployed in all communes, wards and towns in nationwide;  the campaign was used eligible vaccines from multiple sources to increase vaccine coverage for the population. Besides,  it is necessary to mobilize the whole political system to participate in the vaccination campaign, to mobilize maximum forces including establishments inside and outside the health sector, police, army, socio-political organizations. , Union; Ensure high coverage and use rate of vaccine for people of vaccination age who are vaccinated  COVID-19 (over 90%) as well as ensure safety vaccination.

The fourth wave of Covid-19 disease is emerging strongly, especially in two big cities (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) with a high number of infections and having to implement social distancing measures (Directive 16). Therefore, vaccine resources are promoted to inject the people here. As of the evening of September 14, Hanoi had injected 4,961,708 doses, used 4,530,612 doses of vaccine/ 5,359,676 doses of vaccine granted, achieving a progress of 84.5% of the total number of vaccines issued, achieving progress. 84.5% of all vaccines provided. As of September 14, Ho Chi Minh City has injected a total of 8,316,763 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, including 6,624,241 shots 1 and 1,692,522 shots 2. Vero Cell vaccine has given 2,166,174 people. The level of vaccine coverage is one of the very important conditions for the  Ho Chi Minh City can recover a new normal life and expand economic and social activities later.

Vaccination for people is especially important. The COVID-19 vaccine helps the immune system recognize and prepare to fight viruses if they enter the body. People who are fully vaccinated are less likely to become infected without symptoms and are less likely to spread the virus to others. Vaccinating yourself is also protecting those around you, especially the elderly and people with chronic diseases – who are more at risk of severe illness from COVID-19, even death. others. As expected by the Ministry of Health, by the end of this year, Vietnam will have about 90 million doses of vaccine (excluding the source of COVAX - which has been committed but due to vaccine scarcity, there is no specific plan). If the amount of vaccines returned to Vietnam is as expected, it is possible that early next year we will achieve the goal of herd immunity (*) when 70% of the population is vaccinated with 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

It can be said that the universal vaccination campaign is a correct and timely direction of the Party and State in an effort to control and protect people's life in the context of a very complicated epidemic. The campaign aims to equal, fair and transparent vaccination "no one is left behind" in the fight against the pandemic. Thereby demonstrating the great efforts of the Party and State, the consensus and solidarity of the people towards the common goal for the safety of themselves, their families and the community.

As the Prime Minister's enthusiastic speech shared at the launching ceremony of the national vaccination campaign: "Although there are still many difficulties ahead, the more difficulties and hardships we face, the more united we must be holding the tradition of great national unity, sharing determination together to successfully carry out the vaccination campaign", "We will have faith in repelling the epidemic, bringing peace, health for the people and development of the country. That belief will come from the actions of each of us, that belief will belong to each of us and that belief belongs to our country, the heroic historical tradition of our nation. We also believe that, through this war, we will grow stronger, more mature and more stable to build a powerful country, for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, justice, and culture. bright".
