Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan met Mr. Bouasone Bouphavanh, the Head of Laos’s National Economic Research Institute (NERI), former commissioner of the Laotian Politburo, former Prime Minister of Laos (2006 – 2010) at the head office of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) at No. 1, Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, Vietnam on the 7 December 2016.

On the basis of the long lasting cooperation relationship and in order to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in social sciences and humanities, the Institute of Sustainable Regional Development (IRSD) under Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and the Institute of Socio-Political Research (ISPR) under Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) signed the cooperation agreement on scientific exchanges and cooperation on the 4th November 2016 in 3B conference hall, at the head office No. 1, Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, Vietnam.
