With a view to enhancing friendly understanding and deepening bilateral relations between China and Vietnam, on the occasion of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) scholars’ visit to Vietnam, Vietnam Academny of Social Sciences (VASS) held a welcome ceremony followed by a joint seminar between SASS and VASS experts and researchers on ‘the China – Southeast Asia trade relationship’, at the head office of VASS, No 1 Lieu Giai street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, on the morning of 1st March, 2017.

Within a series of events celebrating the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Republic of Korea (22/12/1992-22/12/2017), Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) held an official welcome ceremony for H.E. Mr Lee Hyuk, Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Vietnam and Mr Lee Chul, Minister Counsellor upon their visit and scientific exchanges with VASS’s experts and young researchers in the seminar on ‘25 years of Korea – Vietnam diplomatic relations: Natural, special and indisponsable partnership’, at the head office of VASS, No 1, Lieu Giai street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, on the morning of 3rd March, 2017.

On 26th February, 2017, the scientific conference on ‘The launching of compilation of the Vietnamese encyclopedia’ was held by Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), the National Steering Board for compilation of the Vietnam encyclopedia, and the Board Chairman of Project on the Vietnam encyclopedia, in the second floor Hall, Building A, at the head office of VASS.

On February, 17th 2017, the Hanoi symposium on ‘Development of Mekong region in the Asian dynamic context’, co-organised by Waseda University (Japan), University of Economics and Business (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Institute of World Economics and Politics (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) and Vietnam Asia Pacific Economic Centre, took place at Hall 3D, Building A, VASS’s headquater.
