On October 27th 2014, the 3rd annual conference of three Academies: Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC), Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and Laos Academy of Social Sciences (LASS) on subject of: “Cambodia – Vietnam – Laos cooperation: new issues and solutions” was held in Phnom Penh - the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

For implementation of scientific cooperation between Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences(VASS) and Poland Academy of Sciences (PAS), on October 29th2014, at the head office No. 1A, Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, Institute of Sociology (VASS) cooperated with Vietnam Sociology Association and Institute of Philosophy and Sociology (PAS) in organization of international conference on “Exchanging research experience on Social trust in Poland and Vietnam” with participation of Polish and Vietnamese representatives, experts and scientists

In the morning on October 17th 2014, Institude of Anthropology, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) held Scientific Conference on “Issues and administrative solutions of relations between ethnic minorities, and consolidation of great unity within the Central Highlands” at the head office No. 1A, Lieu Giai street, Ba Đinh district, Hanoi. The conference is one of activities of the National Project TN3/X05 for “Relations between ethnic minorities and strategy of developing great unity among ethnic minorities in sustainable development in the Central Highlands” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Hoan (Former Director of Institude of Anthropology is the chairman of the project, operating time is from 2012 to 2014).

In the morning on October 16th 2014, in the 3D hall at the head office No. 1A, Lieu Giai street, Ba Đinh district, Hanoi, National priority Program of “Science and Technology for economic-social development in the Central Highlands in the period of 2011-2015” (3th Central Highlands Program), Vietnam Institute of Economics, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and 03 National Projects of 3th Central Highlands Program were in cooperation to hold the conference on “Development of economy in the Central Highlands toward sustainability”

In implementation of cooperation program between Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and Quang Ngai Committee of People, VASS and Quang Ngai Committee of People held internation symposium on “Underwater archaeology in Vietnam and Southeast Asian: Cooperation for Development” from October 14th to October 16th 2014.
