Celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties, 10 years of strategic partnership and 01 year of comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India; peace in the spirit of the 72nd anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and 70 years Independence Day of the Republic of India, on morning of September 21, 2017, at Melia Hanoi Hotel, The Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (Academy) cooperated with the Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam solemnly held a seminar entitled "Vietnam - India: Prospects for Prosperity and partnership ".

As part of a series of events celebrating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (September 5th, 1962- September 5th, 2017) and 40 years of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18th- 1977-July 18th,2017) by Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the Academy of Social Sciences of Vietnam (Academy), Lao National Academy of Politics and Administration; The National Institute of Social Sciences in Laos coordinated in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Thuan province from June 3th to June 7th, 2017, June 5th, 2017. In Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan province held an international scientific workshop "55 years of special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos." This is an activity within the framework of cooperation between the four institutions of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, the Lao National Academy of Politics and Administration and the Faculty of Science. On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India; 10 years of strategic partnership and 1 year of establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership, on May 8th, 2017, at 3D Hall, No.1 Lieu Giai Headquarters, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, Vietnam, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) has organized an international Conference "45 Years of Vietnam-India Relations: Achievements and Prospects".

Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Social Science (VASS) - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Nguyen Anh had a meeting with Mr. Sohn Hak Kyu - Former candidate for President of South Korea to visit and work at the Academy on August 15, 2017 at Lieu Giai Headquarters No. 1, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Agreed by the President of Viet Nam Academy of Social Sciences, the Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and World Advanced Science Research Project (WARP), Metropolitan Autonomous University, Mexico and National Foundation for Science and Technology Development co – organize the international conference: “Socialist models and the Theory of Post – Capitalist Civilization” (Commemorating 100 years of the Great Socialist October Revolution).
