Exhibition Opening: The Central Highlands of Vietnam in the 1950s

On the celebration of 40th year of diplomatic relations between France and Vietnam, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (part of VASS) has held an exhibition of photo album on “The Central Highlands of Vietnam in the 1950s of the 20th century” in July 10th 2014. Photos were taken between 1952 and 1955 by Jean-Marie Duchange – a French photographer. The photo album,with total 200 pictures in size 6 x 6, was produced from two modern cameras asRolleiflex and Samflex Rolleiflex. The collection is carefully protected by author and his family so they are in good conditions. Recently, Mrs. Évelyne Duchange andMrs. Nadège Bourgoin, daughter grandchild of author, have provided negative films to Quai Branly Museum (France) as award and part of collection was contributed to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.
