On August 22nd 2014, at the 3D Conference Hall, Headquarter of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, No. 1A Lieu Giai Street, Ba Dinh, VASS hold a seminaron “Technology policy and the determining role of organization ability” presented byProf. Mushtaq Khan. Joining in the conference has Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan – Deputy President of VASS and many representatives from VASS’s member units as well as other units.

On August 11th 2014, at the Headquarter of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, No. 1A Lieu Giai Street, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, there is a seminar on "Sustainable growth focusing on human and building socialism” presented by Prof. Francois Houtart who earned a master degree in social sciences and a PhD in sociology from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium). He was also the ex-director of CETRI (Central Tricontinental).

In July 29th 2014, Vietnam Institute of Indian and Southwest Asian Studies has held a seminar on “India and Indian Ocean” at Conference Hall 3E, Building no. 1A Lieu Giai, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. Prof. Baladash Goshal – Director for Indian Ocean Studies, President of Culture Committee on Indian Studies of Russian State University for the Humanities has had his general lecture.
